Delete your URYVA account
You can delete your URYVA account, and the data that goes with it, in the URYVA app or without it. This page shows every way, then what is deleted and what is kept.
Before you delete, you can save a copy of your key data: Settings → Account → Download My Data (Requests about your data).
Delete it in the app
- Open your profile and tap Settings (the gear).
- Under Account, choose Delete Account.
- Follow the steps to confirm.
The account is deleted straight away, and you are signed out everywhere.
Delete it without the app
- On the web. Go to https://app.uryva.com/delete-account and enter the e-mail address of your account. We send a code to that address; enter it to confirm. You do not need to sign in.
- By e-mail. Write to privacy@uryva.com from the e-mail address of your account, with the subject "Delete my URYVA account". Include:
- the name on your URYVA profile;
- that you want your account deleted;
- any of the items under "What is kept" that you also want removed.
We reply to that address to confirm, then delete the account. If you cannot write from the account's address, say which address it is, and we will confirm through that address.
What is deleted
- your account and profile, your sign-in details from Google, LinkedIn or Apple, and your photo;
- all your sign-in sessions;
- your Mindscape: insights, history, questions and preferences;
- your Sorush conversations;
- your voice recordings;
- your notes, comments, bookmarks, follows and share links;
- your Folio Flow progress;
- requests to manage a profile, and reports, that you made or that were made about your profile;
- the nodes, links, constellations and progress in your Galaxies.
What is kept, and for how long
- Published Folios. They are archived, not deleted: they disappear from URYVA's feeds and search, but links that other people already have may keep working. They have no set end date. To have them removed, write to privacy@uryva.com.
- Records without your identity. AI cost records stay with the link to you removed. A record that an account was deleted (a scrambled ID, the date and the reason) stays; there is no automatic deletion of it yet.
- Items the deletion does not remove yet. These stay until you ask us to remove them at privacy@uryva.com:
- messages and conversations you took part in, which stay for the other people in them, and reports you made about messages;
- your notifications and notification settings;
- your drafts: unsaved composing sessions still expire 30 days after your last edit, but saved drafts stay;
- the entry (title and description) of each Galaxy you created;
- blocks, and Mindscape access permissions and requests;
- reports you filed about Folios, and appeals;
- the records used to suggest you in "Minds like yours";
- records of AI generation runs, which include your prompts;
- images you attached to notes and messages.
- Logs. Our server logs, which can include your account ID and IP address, are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
- At AI providers. Data that AI features sent before you deleted the account follows the providers' own terms, for example up to 30 days at OpenAI (Privacy Policy, section 5.2).
After you delete
- You can remove URYVA's access to your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, and do the same in your LinkedIn or Apple Account settings.
- The Privacy Policy explains deletion and retention in full (sections 11 and 12).
