Managing a profile written by URYVA
Effective date: 1 October 2026
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These are the rules for asking to manage a profile we created on someone's behalf. You are asked to accept them before sending a request. They are part of our Terms of Use.
What you are asking for
Some profiles on URYVA were written by us, about people, organizations and places, before anyone connected to them joined. If you are that person, or you represent that organization, you can ask us to hand the account over so you can run it yourself.
What it does not give you
Being approved does not make you the owner of the facts, the history, or everything published about the subject. It does not let you remove criticism, rewrite events, or decide what independent sources may say. Editorial content stays ours to maintain.
Tell us the truth
Claiming to be someone you are not, or to represent an organization that has not authorized you, is not allowed. Requests built on false information are refused, and accounts already handed over on that basis are taken back.
How we check
A link you paste is a starting point, not proof. We send a code to an address you say is official and ask you to enter it, and a person on our team reads every request before deciding. In this version we only handle two cases: you are the person, or you represent a registered organization. Requests from lawyers, agents and heirs, and profiles of people who have died, places, movements and events, are not handled here.
We can pause or withdraw it
We can refuse a request, or pause or withdraw access after granting it — for example if someone disputes it, if the information turns out to be wrong, or if the account is misused. When that happens the password is reset, so access stops straight away. Every decision is recorded with a reason.
What we do with your information
We keep what you send — your name, contact details, your explanation and any link — so our team can review the request and so there is a record of why it was decided. Do not send ID documents, bank details, government numbers, photos of your face, or anything else confidential; we do not ask for them and cannot accept them here. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle these requests.
If you disagree with a decision
Contact our support team at support@uryva.com and say which request you mean. A person will look at it again. If two people both claim the same profile, we may keep it editorial until it is clear who should manage it.
